The Española Farmers Market Continues on!

NEWSY NEWS:

It's a good fruit season- peaches and apricots are starting to appear and some early pale green apples good for pies. Also cucumbers, zucchinis in many varieties, delicious carrots. Walk over to visit the refurbished Wildflower Garden. Farmer Lorraine Gray of Four Bridges Permaculture Institute has been working with students to restore many of our  Market Ovals. The teenagers have planted a culinary garden with greens and another oval  bed with herbs to flavor your meal. You can also watch as pizzas emerge from the horno as students cook with mentor Dexter Trujillo of Abiquiu.

UPDATE ABOUT THE FRIDAY MARKETS IN 2019:

We are not scheduling Friday afternoon markets this season. However, if the produce production is abundant, and at least eight vendors want to participate in Friday markets, we will add a second market. The same guidelines apply to both market days, if the Friday market is held.

A thank you to everyone who helped prepare the Española Farmers Market for the 2019 season. There was plenty of work that included general market cleanup, planting, and much more!

The Española Farmers Market couldn't operate each year without the support, participation, and the many contributions of time and extra effort. Thanks to everyone who has gone the extra mile to make sure that Northern New Mexico continues to benefit from one of the best markets in the state. Additional appreciation for the recognition and awards.
