There's nothing like the present day to plan for dishes to treat friends and family members...
We have produce fresh from the earth. It's nothing like produce that has been shipped thousands of miles before sitting on a shelf in some supermarket. Visit the Española Farmers Market and prepare fresh fruit and produce for meals that will be remembered. This is great news.
And make 2021 the year that you collect and assemble recipes, Northern New Mexico style, that can be passed on to future generations. Watch people of all ages smile...

There are so many ways to prepare fresh squash from the Española Farmers Market. . .
What about a recipe book that just features squash, grown in Northern New Mexico... the way your grandparent or parent cooked it. If you're looking for a gift for the next generation, think about making a recipe book of dishes that have pleased generations in your family. You can pass on the recipes in handwriting. Or go to the limit with a printed recipe book as a fundraiser. Here is one example. Think about it. A vintage recipe book will be treassured for generations.
If you'd like to share a recipe on the Española Farmers Market blog, tell someone at the market table on Monday, and we'll see what we can do to make sure it is shared with a wider audience. Turn fresh produce into dishes that friends and family members rave about.
