A weekend of events, including upcoming chile roasting at Española Farmers Market!



A weekend celebration of community nourishment starting Friday, September 1 through Saturday, September 2, and then on Monday, September 4, 2017. Here are the details:

Friday, September 1, 6-9 p.m. Opening event. Center for the Arts, Northern New Mexico College, 921 Paseo de Onate. Art opening: Roger Montoya, Sabra Moore, Roxanne Swentzell. Dance performance: Holy Faith Break Dancers. Coco Daco Dance Project, Mina Fajardo Flamenco. 

Saturday, September 2, 12-4 p.m. at 310 Paseo de Onate. The Espanola Community Market, fifth anniversary celebration.

Saturday, September 2, 2-6 p.m. Vietnam Veterans Memorial Road near Valdez Park. Espanola Healing Foods Oasis Regeneration Festival. Espanola Tewa Women United. Tree planting and solar oven.

Monday, September 4, 12-5 p.m. Espanola Farmers Market, North Railroad Avenue. Labor Day Free Chile Roasting and Heirloom Chile Cook-off. Sustainable agricultural information booths and Key Line plow demonstration. Plus music and horno and solar oven.
